The Juki AF081E Cut Tape Feeder Finger is a remarkable improvement that boosts both the efficiency and accuracy of your production process. Thanks to durable construction and careful engineering with premium materials, the Feeder Finger guarantees a long service life and smooth, consistent component feeding during production runs.

Components such as resistors, capacitors, and chips are packaged in small pockets on a long strip, known as component tape. This is normally loaded into the feeder on a full reel. Cut tape is a cut-off piece of that tape, useful when you only need a limited number of components, for example for a prototype, a small production run, or when your components are supplied as a short strip instead of on a full reel.

Normally, such a piece of tape first needs to be extended with an empty leader to pass through the feeder, which costs time and material (splicing). The Feeder Finger eliminates the need for this.

The AF feeder is Juki’s spliceable feeder. Installing the Feeder Finger resolves the cover-tape tension issues associated with this feeder. Eliminating the cover-tape collection process prevents feeder jams during production, improving machine utilization and throughput, and reducing feeder maintenance.
