A fast cut-and-strip machine only pays off if its output is handled just as well. Wires that drop uncontrolled onto the floor or into a bin get tangled, kinked or damaged at the insulation, and then have to be sorted by hand. That costs time and leads to scrap.
A good deposit system prevents this. Short wires are stacked axially and kept separate per batch. Longer cables are coiled evenly and bound straight away, so they’re ready for the next step, whether that’s crimping, assembly or packaging. You get less manual work, more consistent quality and a smoother flow through your production. With high volumes or long cable lengths, a deposit system isn’t a nice-to-have. It has a direct effect on how much your machine actually produces.
Schleuniger: The WireStackers (1000 and 3150) collect wires from Schleuniger cut-and-strip machines and stack them accurately in axial alignment. For longer lengths there are the CableCoilers. The CableCoiler 500 is a lightweight, affordable entry model, the 1450 is a versatile coiler for wire, cable and tubing, and the 1300 is a fully synchronised high-performance coiler.
Komax: The Wire Deposit System DPS 375 is a mobile deposit system with active cable ejection and programmable batch separation, designed for the Kappa 3xx series. The DPS 261 binding module quickly binds cable coils with elastic cord and works with all coilers.
Ramatech: The cable coilers in the KR and KRI series (450 and 850) coil cables quickly and efficiently. Depending on the version, you can choose a model without binding, one with a manual binding unit or one with an adjustable operating mode.
Ulmer: Ulmer focuses on inline production. The DTW 400 is a motor-driven twin-station cable coiler that runs fully synchronised with cut-and-strip machines. The electropneumatic delivery trays AL1500 to AL15000 are designed for use with the SM15 series.
Rometsch: The WTM 1 and WTM 2 are cable rewinders for reels. The WTM 1 takes reels up to Ø 600 mm and comes with a cover. The WTM 2 is a universal cable coiler.
Cyclop: Cyclop supplies the AXRO FQC2 and AXRO IN-2 elastic binders, which bundle ring-shaped products such as cable coils quickly and securely.
The right deposit system depends on your wire lengths, cross-sections, volumes and the machines you already use. Smans helps you choose. Because we represent several brands, we look at your application first and the product second. That way we find a solution that fits your existing cut-and-strip machines, whether you need a simple stacker or a fully integrated inline coiler with binding.
We’re also there for you after the purchase, with installation, maintenance, spare and wear parts, and training through the Smans Academy. That keeps your wire processing efficient and reliable for the long term.
